The farm's own words
Rich's Chicken Ranch & Rabbitry is a small collective of community farmers that as individuals would not produce enough to have sellable product. But, by working together we are able to provide Eggs, Chickens, Turkeys, Quail, and numerous Game Birds. We also provide Rabbit and Earthworms, Compost, and Fishing Worms. We also offer rescue services for Poultry and Rabbits. There is no need to abandon these Animals/Pets. This is a free service but, it requires the animal be brought to us along with anything used by the animal such as cages, feeders, bowls, feed, medication, toys, and accessories
Nothing here travels far to reach a kitchen. That is the whole point of selling this way: it is picked, it is packed, and it is at a door the next morning.
- Picked to order. Nothing is harvested until it is sold, so nothing sits in storage.
- Compost and cover crops. Vetch and rye over winter, and nothing synthetic on the beds.
- Seconds sold, not dumped. Cosmetically odd fruit goes out as a deal, with the reason written on it.
- Dry-farmed where we can. Less water after transplant, smaller fruit, and the flavour concentrates.
