Welcome to Namakata Mixed Farms
How we farm
- Seconds sold, not dumped. Cosmetically odd fruit goes out as a deal, with the reason written on it.
- Dry-farmed where we can. Less water after transplant, smaller fruit, and the flavour concentrates.
- We plant for the season. Not for the shelf. A heavy crop becomes a deal rather than going back into the ground.
- Hand weeded. Slower than spraying, and the soil keeps what lives in it.
